Target Information
이 유전자가 암호화하는 단백질은 dCTP pyrophosphatase로서, dCTP를 dCMP와 무기 pyrophosphate로 전환합니다. 또한 dTTP 및 dATP에 대해 약한 활성을 보이며, dGTP에 대해서는 활성이 없습니다. 이 단백질은 DNA 합성 후 과잉 dCTP를 제거하고 CpG island의 과도한 메틸화를 방지하는 역할을 할 수 있습니다. 세 가지 전사 변이체가 보고되었으며, 하나는 단백질을 암호화하고 나머지 두 개는 비암호화 변이체입니다.
