The immunogen is a purified recombinant extracellular fragment of human KDR (aa20–764) fused with an hIgGFc tag expressed in HEK293 cells.
This antibody detects KDR, which has a predicted molecular weight of approximately 152 kDa.
Target Information
KDR (also known as FLK1 or VEGFR2) is a type III receptor tyrosine kinase that binds vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) with high affinity. It is expressed early in development by endothelial cell precursors.
The signaling and trafficking of this receptor are regulated by multiple factors, including Rab GTPase, P2Y purine nucleotide receptor, integrin αVβ3, and T-cell protein tyrosine phosphatase.
Mutations of FLK1 (VEGF Receptor 2) are implicated in infantile capillary hemangiomas.
