Target Information
Neuregulin 2 (NRG2)는 성장 및 분화 인자(neuregulin family)에 속하는 새로운 단백질로, Erbb 수용체군과의 상호작용을 통해 상피, 신경, 교세포 등의 다양한 세포의 성장 및 분화를 유도합니다.
이 유전자는 12개의 엑손으로 구성되어 있으며, Neuregulin 1(NRG1)과 유사한 유전자 구조를 가집니다. NRG1과 NRG2는 조직 내 서로 다른 위치에서 작용하여 상이한 생물학적 반응을 유도합니다.
NRG2 유전자는 Charcot-Marie-Tooth 질환 관련 영역 근처에 위치하지만, 해당 질환의 원인은 아닙니다. 다양한 전사체가 존재하며 서로 다른 아이소폼을 암호화합니다.
