Product Specific Information

  • Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
  • Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.

Target Information

This gene encodes a transcription factor belonging to a family of proteins that share homology with the high mobility group protein-1. The encoded protein binds to a functionally important site in the T-cell receptor-alpha enhancer, conferring maximal enhancer activity. It is involved in the Wnt signaling pathway and may function in hair cell differentiation and follicle morphogenesis. Mutations in this gene have been associated with sebaceous tumors and other cancers, including androgen-independent prostate cancer. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
