Product Specific Information

The monoclonal antibody 1A8-Ly6g reacts with mouse Ly-6G (Gr-1), a 25-kDa GPI protein expressed exclusively by neutrophils. It plays a role in neutrophil infiltration, recruitment, and migration, and associates with β2 integrins CD11a and CD11b.

Unlike the RB6-8C5 antibody, 1A8-Ly6g binds only to Ly-6G on neutrophils and has been used for neutrophil depletion, showing antagonist activity.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested on mouse bone marrow cells at ≤1.0 µg/test (in 100 µL final volume). Optimal titration is recommended.

Fluorochrome Information:
Brilliant Violet™ 421 (BV421) emits at 423 nm, suitable for cytometers with a 405 nm violet laser. Verify instrument compatibility before use.

When using multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies (e.g., Super Bright, Brilliant Violet™, Brilliant UV™), use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (00-4409-75) to minimize non-specific interactions.

Ly6G (Lymphocyte antigen 6 complex locus G6D) is part of the myeloid differentiation antigen Gr-1 complex with Ly6C.
