Target Information
CD127 (Interleukin-7 receptor, IL7R) is a glycoprotein involved in the regulation of lymphopoiesis. The receptor functions as an alpha/gamma heterodimer, where the gamma(c) chain activates signal transduction and the alpha chain determines specific signaling events. CD127 promotes proliferation of precursor B cells, thymocytes, T cell progenitors, and mature CD4+/CD8+ T cells. Dysregulation of CD127 is associated with severe combined immunodeficiency and related T/B/NK cell disorders.
