Target Information
MET (cMET) is a receptor-like tyrosine kinase implicated in multiple human malignancies. Upon ligand activation, MET interacts with PI3-kinase subunit PIK3R1, PLCG1, SRC, GRB2, and STAT3, initiating signaling cascades such as RAS-ERK, PI3K-AKT, and PLCγ-PKC.
MET functions in embryonic development (gastrulation, muscle and neuron development, angiogenesis, kidney formation) and adult processes (wound healing, organ regeneration, tissue remodeling).
Dysregulation of MET is associated with cancers including gastric, renal, and breast, making it a key target for cancer therapeutics and diagnostics.
