Product Specific Information
This antibody is predicted to react with Mouse, Rat, and Bovine.
Recombinant rabbit Superclonal™ antibodies are unique offerings from Thermo Fisher Scientific. They consist of a mixture of multiple recombinant monoclonal antibodies, combining the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies with the specificity and consistency of monoclonal antibodies.
Unlike traditional polyclonals, Superclonal™ antibodies have a defined composition of light and heavy chains, ensuring reproducible results across lots and eliminating biological variability.
Note: Formerly called “Recombinant polyclonal antibody”, now rebranded as “Recombinant Superclonal™ antibody”. The physical product and performance remain unchanged.
Target Information
FTO is a member of the non-heme dioxygenase (Fe(II)- and 2-oxoglutarate-dependent dioxygenases) superfamily. Amino acid conservation suggests that both 2-oxoglutarate and iron are essential for FTO function.
FTO may influence gene activity related to metabolism and fat storage, potentially affecting obesity risk.
