Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by epitope-specific immunogen affinity chromatography. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
The muscle acetylcholine receptor is composed of five subunits: two alpha, one beta, one gamma, and one delta subunit. The CHRNB1 gene encodes the beta subunit of the acetylcholine receptor. Upon acetylcholine binding, the receptor changes conformation, opening an ion-conducting channel across the plasma membrane. Mutations in this gene are associated with slow-channel congenital myasthenic syndrome.
