Product Specific Information

• Description: Monoclonal rat IgG1, kappa is useful as an isotype control immunoglobulin.
• Applications Reported: Suitable for flow cytometric analysis.
• Applications Tested: Tested on mouse splenocytes and normal human peripheral blood cells. Use at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.
• Fluorochrome Information: PerCP-eFluor® 710 can replace PE-Cy5, PE-Cy5.5, or PerCP-Cy5.5. It emits at 710 nm and is excited by the 488 nm blue laser.
  • Recommended filters: 685 LP dichroic mirror and 710/40 band pass filter (695/40 acceptable).
• Stability: Stable when stained samples are fixed with 2% formaldehyde overnight at 4°C.
• Excitation / Emission / Laser: 488 nm / 710 nm / Blue Laser.
• Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

Rat IgG1 is a subclass of immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies commonly used in research and diagnostics. These antibodies, produced by rats in response to antigens, are often used as negative controls since they do not bind to many mammalian antigens.
Applications include immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, and western blotting.
They are also used in gene targeting studies to investigate gene function and disease mechanisms.
