This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%) to prevent contamination.
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems by cloning antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates for production.

This antibody has specificity for Mouse IL16.
Target Information
IL-16 encodes a pleiotropic cytokine functioning as a chemoattractant, modulator of T cell activation, and inhibitor of HIV replication. Its signaling is mediated by CD4.
Proteolytic processing yields two functional proteins: the secreted C-terminal peptide (cytokine function) and N-terminal product (cell cycle control). Caspase 3 is involved in this processing.
Alternate splicing generates multiple transcript variants.
