Target Information
COL1A2 유전자는 type I collagen의 pro-alpha2 chain을 암호화하며, triple helix 구조는 두 개의 alpha1 chain과 하나의 alpha2 chain으로 구성됩니다. Type I collagen은 대부분의 결합조직에 존재하며, 뼈, 각막, 진피, 힘줄 등에 풍부합니다.
이 유전자의 변이는 osteogenesis imperfecta types I–IV, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome type VIIB, recessive Ehlers-Danlos syndrome Classical type, idiopathic osteoporosis, atypical Marfan syndrome 등과 관련이 있습니다.
세 가지 전사체가 확인되었으며, 이는 대체 polyadenylation 신호 사용에 의해 생성됩니다.
