Product Specific Information
Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration. For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge if not clear after standing. Stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
This antibody is directed against the FLAG™ epitope tag and is useful in detecting its presence in overexpressed proteins across various assays. It recognizes the FLAG™ epitope (Asp-Tyr-Lys-Asp-Asp-Asp-Asp-Lys) fused to either the amino- or carboxy-termini of target proteins in transfected or transformed cells.
Target Information
DYKDDDDK tag (FLAG tag) is a short peptide sequence (Asp-Tyr-Lys-Asp-Asp-Asp-Asp-Lys) widely used as a protein tag for purification, detection, and localization. It can be fused to the N- or C-terminus of a protein, allowing easy identification and isolation with anti-FLAG antibodies. The tag is hydrophilic, reducing the risk of protein denaturation or inactivation.
