Reconstitution:
- Add 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL of double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
- Ships as lyophilized powder at room temperature.
- Upon arrival, store at -20°C.

Target Information
Cortactin (Cttn) is a ubiquitous actin-binding protein originally identified as a substrate for Src kinases. It plays a key role in actin cytoskeleton organization, cell shape, lamellipodia formation, and cell migration.
Cortactin is enriched in actin-rich peripheral structures and promotes actin network formation. It contains four major domains: N-terminal acidic (NTA), tandem repeats, proline-rich, and SH3 domains.
The NTA domain interacts with the Arp2/3 and WASP complexes at F-actin branches. Cortactin contributes to cell motility and invasion, particularly through invadopodia formation.
It is phosphorylated by Src family kinases at Y421, Y466, Y482, and by Erk family kinases at S405 and S418.
