The 16a11 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse NKG2A^B6.
NKG2 molecules belong to a C-type lectin-like family of cell surface receptors expressed by mouse NK and NKT cells.
These molecules form heterodimeric complexes with CD95 and recognize non-classical MHC class I antigen Qa-1.
This antibody reacts with the C57Bl/6 mouse strain but not with BALB/c or 129 strains.

Co-staining Note:
When co-staining with NKG2A/C/E clone 20d5, stain for NKG2A^B6 first, then NKG2A/C/E to avoid steric hindrance.

Applications Tested:

• Tested on mouse splenocytes
• Recommended ≤1 µg/test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test)
• Optimize concentration empirically for best results

Fluorochrome Information:
PerCP-eFluor® 710 emits at 710 nm and is excited with the blue laser (488 nm).

• Recommended filter: 710/50 bandpass (695/40 acceptable alternative)

• IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222-49)
• 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333-57)
  for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal brightness loss.

Target Information

Natural killer (NK) cells mediate lysis of tumor and virus-infected cells without prior activation and regulate immune responses.
The encoded protein is part of the NKG2 family (C-type lectin-like transmembrane receptors) primarily expressed in NK cells.
These proteins form complexes with KLRD1/CD94 and recognize MHC class I HLA-E molecules.
NKG2 family genes are located on chromosome 12 and have multiple splice variants producing distinct isoforms.
