Product Specific Information

The TER-119 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse erythroid cells from early proerythroblast to mature erythrocyte stages. The antigen is present in yolk sac, fetal and newborn liver, but not expressed by BFU-E and CFU-E cells.
TER-119 antigen is associated with surface glycophorin A but is not a typical glycophorin.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse bone marrow cells. Recommended ≤1.0 µg/test (100 µL volume). Optimal titration recommended.

Brilliant Ultra Violet™ 615 (BUV615):

  • Tandem dye emitting at 615 nm
  • Excitation: 350 nm
  • For use with UV (355 nm) laser-equipped cytometers

Buffer Recommendations:
Use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (00-4409-75) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.

Light Sensitivity:
Sensitive to photo-induced oxidation. Protect vial and stained samples from light.

Fixation:
Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal impact on brightness.

TER-119 is a lineage marker for erythroid cells from early proerythroblast to mature erythrocyte stages in adult blood, spleen, and bone marrow. Also expressed in yolk sac, fetal and newborn liver. Not expressed by BFU-e or CFU-e stage cells.
