Recombinant Rat monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These antibodies are generated by cloning specific genes encoding the desired antibody into an expression vector, followed by in vitro expression.
Key advantages include improved specificity and consistent performance between lots.
It is recommended to titrate the antibody for optimal results in each assay.
Target Information
iNOS (Inducible Nitric Oxide Synthase) is an enzyme responsible for the production of nitric oxide (NO), a gaseous signaling molecule involved in vasorelaxation, neurotransmission, and immune response.
iNOS expression is inducible by lipopolysaccharides and cytokines such as IFN-γ, TNF, and IL-1/2. It catalyzes the oxidation of L-arginine to produce L-citrulline and NO.
Three isoforms exist: nNOS (neuronal, type I), iNOS (inducible, type II), and eNOS (endothelial, type III).
iNOS is found in macrophages, hepatocytes, synoviocytes, and smooth muscle cells. Dysregulation of iNOS is associated with diseases such as achalasia and impotence.
