Alexa Fluor™ Plus recombinant antibodies utilize proprietary dye chemistry for enhanced brightness and improved signal-to-noise ratio compared to conventional Alexa Fluor conjugates. These recombinant antibodies ensure superior specificity and lot-to-lot consistency by expressing cloned antibody genes in vitro.
Usage Note:
Before use, briefly centrifuge the conjugate solution and use only the supernatant to minimize potential aggregates and reduce nonspecific background staining.
Applications Tested:
This CMSSB antibody has been validated for immunocytochemistry and flow cytometry using NK-92 cells. Recommended use:
- ICC: 10 µg/mL
- Flow Cytometry: ≤0.25 µg per test (100 µL final volume; 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test)
Fluorescence Characteristics:

Target Information
CD56 (NCAM, Neural Cell Adhesion Molecule) is a transmembrane glycoprotein of the immunoglobulin family involved in cell adhesion, migration, axonal growth, and synaptic plasticity. It is expressed on T cells, NK cells, and various neuroectodermal-derived tissues and tumors, including neuroblastoma and astrocytoma. CD56 is a widely used neuroendocrine marker with high sensitivity for neuroendocrine and ovarian granulosa cell tumors. Dysregulation is associated with conditions such as rabies and blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasms.
