Target Information
Vesicle-associated membrane protein-associated protein B/C (VAPB) is encoded by the VAPB gene located on human chromosome 20.
This type IV membrane protein is found in plasma and intracellular vesicle membranes.
VAPB forms homodimers and heterodimers with VAPA, and interacts with VAMP1 and VAMP2, suggesting a role in vesicle trafficking.
