Product Specific Information
1 µg/mL of MA5-45455 was sufficient for detection of TrpV3 in 10 µg of COS-1 cell lysate transiently transfected with TrpV3 by colorimetric immunoblot analysis using Goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody. Detects approximately 70 kDa.
Target Information
TRPV3 is a member of the nonselective cation channel family involved in processes such as temperature sensation and vasoregulation. Thermosensitive TRPV channels are expressed in sensory neurons of the skin and activated at physiological temperatures between 22°C and 40°C. The TRPV3 gene is located near TRPV1 on chromosome 17, and both proteins may form heteromeric channels.
