H68.4 항체는 인간 transferrin receptor (TfR) 꼬리의 잔기 3–28에 특이적으로 결합합니다.
Target Information
세포 내 철의 흡수는 리간드가 결합된 transferrin receptor가 특수한 엔도솜으로 내포되는 수용체 매개성 엔도사이토시스를 통해 이루어집니다. 엔도솜의 산성화는 철의 방출을 유도하며, 이후 apotransferrin-receptor 복합체는 세포 표면으로 재순환되어 중성 pH에서 apotransferrin이 수용체에 대한 친화성을 잃게 됩니다.
Transferrin receptor는 적혈구 및 신경계 발달에 필수적이며, 혈청 transferrin receptor (sTfR)는 EPO 오용 탐지 및 다양한 빈혈 진단(류마티스 관절염, 임신, 과민성 장 증후군, HIV 환자 등)에 활용됩니다.
