Target Information
RAPTOR (Regulatory associated protein of mTOR) is a binding partner of target of rapamycin (TOR). It binds to 4EBP1 and p70alpha, and this interaction is essential for mTOR-catalyzed phosphorylation of 4EBP1 in vitro. RAPTOR enhances mTOR kinase activity toward p70alpha and serves as a scaffold mediating TOR action in vivo.
