JES6-5H4 항체는 mouse interleukin-2 (IL-2, 17 kDa T 세포 성장 인자 및 주요 면역조절 사이토카인)에 반응합니다.
본 항체는 세포내 Flow Cytometry 분석에 사용되며, PMA 및 Ionomycin으로 6시간 활성화된 mouse splenocytes를 대상으로 5 µL (0.25 µg)/test 조건에서 테스트되었습니다.
테스트는 100 µL의 최종 부피에서 세포 샘플을 염색하기 위한 항체량으로 정의되며, 세포 수는 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test 범위에서 실험적으로 결정됩니다.

IL-2는 IL-2 receptor (IL-2R)를 통해 신호를 전달하며, 이 수용체의 gamma chain은 IL-4 및 IL-7과 공유됩니다.
성숙한 thymocyte에서 IL-2 유전자는 단일 대립유전자로 발현되며, 이는 유전자 발현 조절의 독특한 형태를 나타냅니다.
유사한 유전자의 결손은 마우스에서 궤양성 대장염과 유사한 질환을 유발하며, 항원 자극에 대한 면역 반응에서 IL-2의 필수적인 역할을 시사합니다.
