Target Information
CNSK1A1 (CK1 alpha 1) is a member of the casein kinase I (CKI) gene family, encoding serine/threonine kinases that preferentially phosphorylate acidic substrates.
CKI proteins are monomeric (25–55 kDa) and found in nuclei, cytoplasm, and membrane fractions of eukaryotic cells.
Functions include:
- Phosphorylation of multiple proteins
- Participation in Wnt signaling
- Phosphorylation of CTNNB1 at Ser-45
- Possible phosphorylation of PER1 and PER2
- Possible role in chromosome segregation during mitosis
