- Applications Reported: Reported for use in intracellular flow cytometric analysis.

Target Information
Cytochrome C is an electron-transporting protein located in the mitochondrial intermembrane space, essential for oxidative phosphorylation and ATP production. Upon apoptotic stimulation, cytochrome C is released into the cytosol where it binds apoptotic protease activating factor, activating procaspase 9 and subsequently caspase 3, a key effector in apoptosis.
