Target Information
Guanine nucleotide-binding proteins (G proteins) act as modulators or transducers in various transmembrane signaling systems (PubMed:15240885, 16787920, 16705036, 27084452).
GNA13 activates effector molecule RhoA via RhoGEFs (ARHGEF1/p115RhoGEF, ARHGEF11/PDZ-RhoGEF, ARHGEF12/LARG) (PubMed:15240885, 12515866).
GNA13-dependent Rho signaling regulates transcription factor AP-1 and promotes tumor cell invasion and metastasis through RhoA/ROCK pathway (PubMed:16787920, 16705036, 27084452).
It also inhibits CDH1-mediated cell adhesion independently of Rho activation (PubMed:11976333).
