Target Information
CLIP170은 Hodgkin 병의 진단적 종양 세포인 Reed-Sternberg 세포에서 높게 발현되는 새로운 유형의 중간 필라멘트 관련 단백질로 처음 확인되었습니다. 이후 연구에서 CLIP170은 미세소관의 플러스 말단에 위치하며, 내포체 운반 소포의 결합에 필요함이 밝혀졌습니다. 또한 뇌 발달에 관여하는 단백질 LIS1과 함께 작용하여 dynein/dynactin 복합체의 미세소관 결합을 조절하는 역할을 하는 것으로 제안되었습니다.
추가 연구에서는 CLIP170이 kinesin 및 IQGAP1 단백질 복합체로부터 이 단백질들을 방출함으로써 lamellipodia 형성과 침습성 유방암 세포의 침습에 영향을 미칠 수 있음이 보고되었습니다. CLIP170에는 최소 두 가지 isoform이 존재하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
