This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
This antibody has specificity for Human NCF2/NCF-2/P67phox.
Target Information
NCF2, NCF1, and a membrane-bound cytochrome b558 are required for activation of the latent NADPH oxidase, which is necessary for superoxide production.
Defects in NCF2 cause chronic granulomatous disease autosomal recessive cytochrome-b-positive type 2 (CGD2), a genetically heterogeneous disorder characterized by the inability of neutrophils and phagocytes to kill ingested microbes, leading to life-threatening bacterial and fungal infections.
