AIB1-AC3는 SRC-1 계열 핵 수용체 공동활성화인자(nuclear receptor coactivator)인 AIB1을 인식합니다. AIB1은 160kDa의 분자량을 가지며, 유전자 위치는 20q12로 알려져 있습니다. 또한 유방암 및 췌장암 세포주에서 증폭(amplification)된 것으로 보고되었습니다.
AIB1은 에스트로겐 수용체와 리간드 의존적 상호작용을 통해 에스트로겐 의존적 전사 유전자 활성화를 강화합니다.
