This antibody stains human FATP4-transfected cells but not irrelevant transfectants.
Reconstitute at 0.5 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
This gene encodes a member of a family of fatty acid transport proteins involved in translocation of long-chain fatty acids across the plasma membrane.
It is highly expressed on the apical side of mature enterocytes in the small intestine and acts as the principal fatty acid transporter in enterocytes.
Clinical studies suggest this gene as a candidate for insulin resistance syndrome, and mutations have been associated with ichthyosis prematurity syndrome.
