Target Information
CSK is a tyrosine kinase that downregulates SRC oncoprotein activity through phosphorylation of its carboxy terminus. The CSK gene may function as an antioncogene, playing a key role in regulating cell growth, differentiation, migration, and immune responses.
CSK phosphorylates tyrosine residues in the C-terminal tails of Src-family kinases including LCK, SRC, HCK, FYN, LYN, CSK, and YES1. It is expressed ubiquitously (~50 kDa) in the cytosol, with a fraction localized to lipid rafts via interaction with the lipid raft-associated protein PAG (Csk-binding protein).
