Target Information
PAX5는 paired box (PAX) 전사인자 패밀리에 속하며, 초기 발달 단계에서 중요한 조절자 역할을 합니다. PAX 단백질의 발현 이상은 종양 변형과 관련이 있을 수 있습니다. PAX5는 초기 B세포 분화 단계에서 발현되는 B-cell lineage specific activator protein (BSAP)으로, 후기 단계에서는 발현되지 않습니다. 또한 PAX5는 발달 중인 중추신경계(CNS)와 고환에서도 발현되어, B세포 분화뿐 아니라 신경 발달 및 정자 형성에도 중요한 역할을 할 것으로 추정됩니다. 유전자 변이는 백혈병 및 급성 림프구성 백혈병을 유발할 수 있습니다.
