Target Information

PAX5는 paired box (PAX) 전사인자 계열에 속하는 단백질로, 초기 발달 단계에서 중요한 조절자로 작용합니다. PAX 단백질의 발현 변화는 종양 형성에 기여할 수 있는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
PAX5는 B세포 계통 특이적 활성화 단백질(BSAP)로, 초기 B세포 분화 단계에서 발현되며 후기 단계에서는 발현되지 않습니다. 또한 중추신경계(CNS)와 고환에서도 발현되어, 신경 발달 및 정자 형성에도 중요한 역할을 할 가능성이 있습니다.
PAX5 유전자 변이는 백혈병, 특히 급성 림프구성 백혈병과 관련이 있습니다.
