PDGFRA (Platelet-Derived Growth Factor Receptor Alpha)는 세포 표면 수용체 티로신 키나아제로, 혈소판 유래 성장인자(platelet-derived growth factor) 계열의 리간드와 결합합니다.
이 성장인자들은 간엽계 세포의 증식 인자로 작용하며, 결합되는 리간드의 종류에 따라 수용체는 α 또는 β 폴리펩타이드로 구성된 호모다이머 또는 헤테로다이머 형태를 형성합니다.
Knockout 마우스 연구에서 PDGFRA의 결손은 치명적이며, 이 수용체의 α형은 신장 발달에 특히 중요함이 밝혀졌습니다. 이형접합 마우스는 신장 형성 이상을 보입니다.
