MA1-70035 detects CD200/OX-2 in rat samples.
It has been successfully used in flow cytometry, immunoprecipitation, and immunofluorescence procedures.
The immunogen is rat thymocyte membrane glycoproteins.
Target Information
CD200 is a type-1 membrane glycoprotein belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily, containing two immunoglobulin domains. It interacts with CD200R on myeloid cells, helping to prevent macrophage activation.
Homologues exist in herpesviruses and poxviruses. Studies in rodents indicate CD200 regulates myeloid cell activity and provides inhibitory signals to macrophages.
Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
Diseases associated with CD200 dysfunction include Mantle Cell Lymphoma and Primary Hypertrophic Osteoarthropathy.
