Product Specific Information

The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

Target Information

Voltage-gated potassium (Kv) channels represent a complex class of voltage-gated ion channels with diverse physiological roles, including regulation of neurotransmitter release, heart rate, insulin secretion, neuronal excitability, epithelial electrolyte transport, smooth muscle contraction, and cell volume.
KCNH1 encodes a member of the potassium channel, voltage-gated, subfamily H, which forms a pore-forming (alpha) subunit of a non-inactivating delayed rectifier potassium channel. It is activated during myoblast differentiation and is highly expressed in brain and myoblasts. Overexpression may promote tumor cell proliferation. Alternative splicing produces two distinct isoforms.
