This peptide corresponds to an 18 amino acid sequence near the carboxy terminus of human RC3H1.
PEP-1562 can be used as a blocking peptide with polyclonal antibody PA5-34519.
For use as a blocking peptide in Western blot, incubate the peptide with an equal volume of antibody for 30 minutes at 37ºC.
Target Information
The ring finger protein RC3H1, also known as Roquin, is a highly conserved member of the RING-type ubiquitin ligase protein family.
Its M199R mutation leads to excessive production of follicular helper T cells and germinal centers in the sanroque strain of mice, a strain characterized by high IL-21 production and elevated autoantibody titers.
Complete loss of RC3H1 induces early death and immune deregulation but not autoimmunity in RC3H1⁻ mice, suggesting that the mutant RC3H1 is more disruptive to the immune system than its complete loss.
