This peptide corresponds to a 17 amino acid sequence near the amino terminus of human AGR2.
PEP-1560 can be used as a blocking peptide with polyclonal antibody PA5-34517.
For use as a blocking peptide in Western blot, incubate the peptide with an equal volume of antibody for 30 minutes at 37°C.
Target Information
AGR2 (anterior gradient protein 2) and AGR3 are members of the anterior gradient homolog family. They are secreted cytoplasmic proteins involved in metastasis induction and p53 tumor suppressor inhibition.
These proteins may serve as molecular markers and potential therapeutic targets for hormone-responsive breast tumors.
AGR2 is ubiquitously expressed and upregulated in prostate, breast, lung, renal, and endometrial carcinomas.
AGR2 expression shows positive correlation with estrogen receptor (ER) and negative correlation with epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR).
