Target Information
The beta-2 subunit of ATP1B2 is a non-catalytic component of the active enzyme that catalyzes ATP hydrolysis coupled with Na⁺/K⁺ ion exchange across the plasma membrane.
It mediates cell adhesion of neurons and astrocytes and promotes neurite outgrowth.
