Target Information
FOXP3 (Forkhead box protein 3)는 포유류에서 고도로 보존된 forkhead/winged-helix 전사조절 인자군에 속하며, 정상적인 면역 항상성 유지에 필수적입니다. FOXP3는 381개의 아미노산으로 구성되어 있으며, CD25+ CD4+ 조절 T세포에서 높은 수준으로 안정적으로 발현되고, CD4+CD25− 세포에서는 낮은 수준으로, CD4−CD8+ T세포에서는 발현되지 않습니다. FOXP3는 조절 T세포의 특이적 마커로 알려져 있으며, 해당 유전자의 결함은 마우스에서 scurfy 표현형을 유발하고, 인간에서는 IPEX 증후군(면역기능 장애, 다내분비병증, 장병증, X-연관 증후군)과 관련되어 있습니다. 인간 유방암 및 대장암 세포에서는 FOXP3 발현이 DNA 손상에 대한 p53에 의해 조절됩니다.
