Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95°C followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min.

HLA-DR beta refers to the beta chain of the HLA-DR protein complex, a member of the human leukocyte antigen (HLA) class II molecule family.
The HLA-DR beta chain, encoded by the HLA-DRB gene, is expressed on the surface of antigen-presenting cells such as dendritic cells, macrophages, and B cells.
It plays a crucial role in capturing, processing, and presenting antigens to T cells for immune recognition and activation of adaptive immune responses.
HLA-DR beta consists of:
- Extracellular domain: contains the peptide-binding groove for antigenic peptides
- Transmembrane domain: anchors the chain to the cell membrane
- Cytoplasmic tail: involved in intracellular signaling
