Target Information
UPF3B는 mRNA 핵 수출 및 감시 과정에 관여하는 post-splicing multiprotein complex의 구성 요소입니다. Yeast Upf3p의 두 기능적 상동체 중 하나로, mRNA에 결합하여 핵 수출 후에도 결합을 유지하며, Y14와 함께 exon-exon junction 상류 20 nt 부위에 특이적으로 결합하는 복합체를 형성합니다.
이 단백질은 nonsense-mediated mRNA decay (NMD)에 관여하며, 조기 종결 코돈을 포함한 mRNA를 분해합니다. UPF3B 유전자는 X 염색체의 장완에 위치하며, 두 가지 splice variant를 통해 서로 다른 isoform을 생성합니다.
