Target Information
NOS1AP encodes a cytosolic protein that binds to neuronal nitric oxide synthase (nNOS).
This protein contains:
- A C-terminal PDZ-binding domain mediating interactions with nNOS
- An N-terminal phosphotyrosine binding (PTB) domain binding to small G protein Dexras1
Functions as an adapter linking nNOS to targets such as Dexras1 and synapsins.
Alternative splicing generates multiple isoforms.
