Target Information
Small G proteins such as RAP and RAB proteins play key roles in intracellular signal transduction and vesicle transportation.
The small G protein signaling modulator (SGSM) family, consisting of SGSM1–3, binds to RAP and RAB family proteins.
All SGSM proteins possess both RUN and TBC domains.
SGSM2 acts as a Rab9A effector that activates GTP hydrolysis by Rab32 and Rab33B proteins.
