Product Specific Information

The 24-31 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD154 (CD40 Ligand, gp39), a 39 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein of the TNF superfamily, transiently expressed by activated T cells. CD154 binds CD40 on antigen-presenting cells (B cells, monocytes/macrophages, dendritic cells), mediating T-APC interactions and inducing B cell activation. The antibody cross-reacts with cynomolgus monkey CD154.

Target Information

CD40 Ligand (CD40-L, CD154) is a membrane glycoprotein expressed on activated T cells. It stimulates B cell proliferation and immunoglobulin secretion in the presence of cytokines. CD40L also induces cytokine production and tumoricidal activity in monocytes and co-stimulates T cell proliferation with IFN-γ, TNF-α, and IL-2 production.
