Description:
This is a monoclonal mouse IgG2a antibody used as an isotype control for mouse IgG2a antibodies.
Applications Reported:
PerCP-Cy5.5 Mouse IgG2a, kappa Isotype Control is reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. Use isotype control at the same concentration as experimental antibody.

Target Information
Mouse IgG2a is a subtype of immunoglobulin G produced by B cells in response to antigens. It is the second most abundant IgG subtype in serum and plays a key role in the adaptive immune response.
It consists of two heavy and two light chains and is involved in:
- Opsonization
- Complement activation
- Antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity
- Regulation of immune responses such as T cell activation and B cell inhibition
Mouse IgG2a is widely used in research and diagnostic applications including ELISA, Western blotting, and immunohistochemistry, as well as in therapeutic research such as immunotherapy and vaccine development.
