Description:
The eBio17G10.2 monoclonal antibody reacts with human immunoglobulin-like transcript 7 (ILT7), also known as CD85g. ILT7 belongs to the leukocyte immunoglobulin-like receptor (LIR) family and forms a functional complex with FcεR1γ to transduce ITAM-mediated signals that negatively regulate TLR-induced type I IFN production in human plasmacytoid dendritic cells (pDCs). ILT7 is expressed exclusively on pDCs and absent in monocyte-derived DCs. Expression decreases upon IL-3 or CpG treatment.
Double staining of human PBMCs with eBio17G10.2 and anti-pDC marker BDCA2 shows nearly complete co-staining. Crosslinking ILT7 with this antibody reduces transcription of IFN-α1, IFN-α2, IFN-α4, and IFN-β.
Applications Reported:
This antibody is reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested:
Pre-titrated and tested for flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended usage is 5 µL (0.25 µg) per test in a final volume of 100 µL. Suitable for 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.

Target Information
ILT7 is a plasmacytoid dendritic cell (pDC)-specific IgG-like transcript and a member of the leukocyte immunoglobulin-like receptor gene family. In complex with FcER1α, it transduces ITAM-mediated signals that negatively modulate type I IFN production by pDCs. ILT7 serves as a potential target to regulate type I IFN production, which plays a major role in viral infection, autoimmune diseases, and anti-cancer immunity. ILT7, together with CD123 and BDCA-2, can be used to identify or classify pDC subsets based on TLR expression and TLR-mediated immune responses.
