• Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration.
• Restore with 0.05 mL of deionized water (or equivalent).
• For extended storage, aliquot and freeze at -20°C or below.
• Avoid freeze/thaw cycles.
• Centrifuge if not clear after standing at room temperature.
• Stable for several weeks at 4°C as undiluted liquid.
• Dilute only before immediate use.
• Expiration date: one year from restoration.

Typically negligible cross-reactivity against other types of collagens was detected by ELISA against purified standards.
This antibody reacts with most mammalian Type IV collagens and shows negligible cross-reactivity with Type I, II, III, V, and VI collagens.
Non-specific cross-reaction with other human serum or extracellular matrix proteins is negligible.

Target Information

Collagen IV is a major component of basement membranes in tissues such as kidneys, lungs, and skin.
It forms a network-like structure providing support and stability.
Composed of three alpha chains encoded by COL4A1, COL4A2, and COL4A3 genes.
Mutations in these genes can cause disorders like Alport syndrome and Goodpasture syndrome.
