• Reconstitution: 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
• Ships as lyophilized powder at room temperature.
• Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
• Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week.
• For longer storage, aliquot and store at -20°C.
• Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
• Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).

Target Information

The Na⁺/H⁺ antiporter (NHE-1) is a ubiquitous membrane-bound enzyme involved in pH regulation of vertebrate cells. It is specifically inhibited by the diuretic drug amiloride and activated by various signals including growth factors, mitogens, neurotransmitters, and tumor promoters.
NHE-1 also acts as an anchor for actin filaments, maintaining cortical cytoskeleton integrity through interactions with ERM proteins (ezrin, radixin, moesin). It may play a structural role independent of ion exchange and has been implicated in hypertension.
At least two isoforms of NHE-1 are known to exist.
