Reconstitution: Add 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL double distilled water (DDW) depending on sample size.
The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature. Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week. For longer storage, aliquot and store at -20°C.
Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).

Target Information

Ca²⁺ plays a critical role in intracellular signaling, and regulation of calcium balance is essential for maintaining this function.
The plasma membrane Na⁺/Ca²⁺ (NaCX) exchangers mediate Na⁺-dependent Ca²⁺ efflux in various cell types, moving Ca²⁺ either into or out of cells depending on ionic gradients.
In mammals, at least five distinct genes encode these exchangers: three NaCX (NaCX-1, NaCX-2, NaCX-3) and two NaCKX (NaCKX-1, NaCKX-2).
NaCX-1 is predominantly expressed in the heart, playing a key role in excitation-contraction coupling.
It may also serve as a target for protecting the heart and brain from ischemia and reperfusion injury.
